It just keeps getting better!

From Dan Powell, Orlando, thanks! beautiful art; perfect encapsulation of this mission:

I wasn’t going to share this one. I’m not good at watercolors but force myself at times to try things that are hard. When we only do what is comfortable to us we don’t grow and learn as much. So don’t be afraid to try new and share your work. And challenging yourself to learn new things is great for your brain health. So don’t judge my ugly clouds but know I will keep trying to improve 😉

Minneapolis Mill District – Preservation, and “best-of” Re-Imagination!

Every once in a while, you discover a place that completely changes your impression of a city—and Minneapolis’ Mill District did exactly that during a recent visit that my wife and I made to visit some of her dear friends . Along a spectacular stretch of the Mississippi River, massive stone ruins, historic mills and bridges now mingle with striking contemporary architecture, parks, restaurants and entertainment. This was once the powerhouse of American flour milling, where St. Anthony Falls helped transform Minneapolis into the legendary “Mill City.” Today, you can walk among those remnants at Mill Ruins Park, where old stone foundations, waterways and trails make history part of the landscape itself. Nearby, the wonderful Mill City Museum, ingeniously incorporated into the ruins of the Washburn A Mill, brings that…

My favorite party playlist:

Yeah…I’ve experienced several different decades of music and really just love it all:

blues and soul, to classic rock and pop, to new (and old!) country, and some hip hop

with lyrics that just make me laugh out loud. I LOVE LIVE MUSIC and “hear” it through

my feet. My ears and feet are somehow connected, and when I hear a groovy tune, my

feet just start moving and I can’t sit down. Maybe you feel the same?! There are

certainly thousands, be here are some of my faves. Do they strike a chord? What are

Apopka this past weekend and it was truly one of the most beautiful,

tranquil…immersions in nature…that we’ve ever had. Picture a snow-white shallow sand

bottom and gently flowing crystal-clear spring water flowing through serene Florida

Paradiso Bar, Barcelona Spain – When a Cocktail Becomes an Artful Experience

Barcelona hardly needs another reason to impress. This is a city where extraordinary

architecture, art, food and culture seem to compete for your attention on every street.

But then we discovered another side of Barcelona’s creative personality—its remarkable

cocktail culture—and Paradiso may be one of its most imaginative expressions.

Hidden away in Barcelona’s historic El Born district, Paradiso feels appropriately

secretive from the beginning. Enter through what appears to be an old refrigerator door
